music to my ears

Last night after work I dropped in at Uma's place in West Oakland. Last I saw Uma, we were at a big party, and I didn't talk to him any, so it was good to catch up. Anyhow, we talked about music and said, "I've got a coronet, want to borrow it?" So I did, and today I took it back over there while he was having a session wih Pelin and Isacc, and a keys player named Adin. The coronet worked perfect in the mix, muted, though I felt like the group badly needed organization and more dynamics. It wouldn't be fitting to say I wanted it to rock more, but from time to time the mood would be a little dull. Brass or a sax would push the music more, so thats the roll i hope to fill.

This afternoon Im making stuffed shells, but who to share it with? Rachel? The family? All for myself? decisions decisions...

The only thing I remember about Joe Biden from the primaries was his quips about policy in some, 'well actually...' sense. So I looked up some google videos of him and this one was pretty decent:





Id like to see some honest soul searching among voters this fall, and is it too much to ask to cut back on the obesity, consumerism, and abuse? Im just sayin..

A New Camera

Since yesterday I've been snapping pictures on my new camera I bought on eBay. Its a Olympus FE 280, and even though its more megapixels and newer and all that, its not as great as the one I had. That one was stolen. You see the FE is the bottom line cameras Olympus offers and it doesn't have the options the Stylus line does. Anyways, I think Im gonna send this one back and exchange it for a Casio.

At least I get a good weekend to test this one out before I return it!
